I am an “out-of-network” provider for most insurance plans, including Blue Cross, Highmark, Personal Choice, and Keystone. How this works: the client pays at the time of service for each session, and submits an invoice to the insurance company. Typically, after meeting your annual deductible, you can expect to get reimbursed between 50% to 80% of the allowed fee.
Current rates (2021) for psychotherapy services are as follows:
Initial (intake) session (60 minutes) Individual, Couples or Family session (45-50 minutes) Brief psychotherapy session (30 minutes) Telephone coaching, when indicated (10-15 minutes) Supportive documents, writing letters or reports Legal reports, advocacy or evaluations
Homeopathic consultations are generally not covered by most insurance plans. However, they might be covered by a Flexible Savings Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA). The client pays directly for the consultation, then submits an invoice to the plan to get reimbursed. Please check with your plan manager to learn whether this is a covered service. Note that, since I am not a medical provider, I cannot provide a diagnosis code for homeopathic consultations; however, if your Primary Care Provider is willing to write a letter recommending homeopathic treatment for a specific condition, that can be submitted in support of the claim.
Current rates (2019) for homeopathic consultations are as follows:
I accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, M/C, American Express and Discover). Cards incur a 3.5% service fee. I am also on Square Cash, which allows you to use your smart phone to make direct payments from your debit card account, with no service fees, instantaneously. You can get the SquareCash app here.
Clients are charged the full-fee for any appointments not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice (barring unforeseen emergencies). If you truly cannot afford the above consultation rates, please consider discussing various payment plans with me in order to make treatment more accessible.
